Twitter, now called X, has no button for saving videos, and many clips get deleted or hidden over time. This page saves the video from a tweet as an MP4 file on your device, with the tool above already set to Twitter and video.
Twitter stores each video in several qualities. The site picks the highest one available and merges picture and sound into a single file that plays on phones and computers. The final quality depends on what was uploaded, so a low-resolution clip stays low resolution.
Links from x.com and twitter.com work the same way, and so do mobile links. A valid link contains the word status followed by the tweet's number. If you only need the audio, such as part of an interview or podcast, use the Twitter to MP3 page instead.

Questions about this tool
Do x.com links work?
Yes. x.com and twitter.com links work exactly the same, since Twitter only changed its name to X.
Why am I getting an error?
Check that the tweet is public and still up, and that it actually contains a video rather than a link to another site. Tweets from protected accounts can't be downloaded.
How do I save the video on iPhone?
Open the site in Safari and download the video, then open it in the Files app and choose Save Video to move it to Photos.
Is it free?
Yes. It's free and needs no sign-up, with a small per-minute request limit to prevent abuse.
